Internships

  • Alberta Magazine Publishers Association – Indigenous Internship Program: this program will create opportunities for Indigenous peoples to explore and pursue careers in magazine media supported by mentoring and networking opportunities. This pilot program, open to eligible magazines across Canada, seeks to increase the number of Indigenous voices and stories in print and digital periodicals. Visit Page
  • Magazine Association of BC – Internship Subsidy Program MagsBC provides subsidies of up to 80% of an internship for member magazines.  Visit Program Page
  • Western Living/Vancouver Magazine – Editorial Internship: Canada Wide Media in Burnaby offers a paid and temporary part-time internship with WL and VanMag twice a year. The intern works closely with the editorial and art departments. Visit Site

  • Media Job Search Canada: MJSC provides the largest database of Canadian media-related job sites. The website provides a list of potential magazine publication jobs in Canada by province. Visit Site

  • CharityVillage: CharityVillage has become the Canadian nonprofit sector’s largest and most popular online resource for recruiting, news and how-to information. Visit Site
  • Vantage Point: VP delivers foundational, advanced and custom learning opportunities focused on governance, leadership, planning and people management and engagement for new and seasoned sector leaders, board directors and managers. They are a not-for-profit organization that supports other not-for-profits by providing professional development learning opportunities. Visit Site
  • Volunteer BC: This nonprofit association promotes the growth of important volunteer sector resources, and their website allows volunteer centres and communities across the province promote volunteer opportunities. Volunteer BC also partners on initiatives that help foster more volunteering, including the Culturally Welcoming Volunteer Program and the annual Volunteer Week Photo Contest during National Volunteer Week. Visit Site
  • Volunteer Canada: Volunteer Canada is the national voice for volunteerism in Canada and is committed to increasing and supporting volunteerism and civic participation.
