The Magazine Association of BC has submitted grant applications to the Canada Periodical Fund and Creative BC for up to 6 internship subsidies between September 2016 to February 2017. Changes to this year’s application include increasing the subsidy to 80%/70%/60% for small/medium/larger magazines and increasing the internship length from 15-18 weeks to 16-22 weeks.
In order to give you plenty of time to submit your application and hire someone terrific, we’re putting out the call for applications now in advance of funding approval. Member magazines can apply any time up to September 9; after then, please contact us to discuss a possible internship before submitting.
We will also be including internship subsidies in our multi-year application to CPF in a month or so to allow magazines to plan well in advance and to hire interns during the summer months in 2017 and 2018.
