Shashi Bhat is the editor-in-chief at EVENT Magazine. She teaches creative writing at Douglas College, and taught previously at The Johns Hopkins University and Dalhousie University. Her novel, The Family Took Shape (Cormorant, 2013) was one of three finalists for the Thomas Raddall Atlantic Fiction Prize. Her short fiction has appeared in Journey Prize Stories 24, The New Quarterly, Grain, PRISM international, EVENT, The Threepenny Review, The Missouri Review and other journals. Shashi received an MFA in fiction from The Johns Hopkins University and a BA in English from Cornell University.
