Richer, Deeper, Better: Greater Inclusivity, Accountability and Respect in Publishing Workshops – UPDATE
In Vancouver and Victoria, May 23 and 24. Workshops feature Cicely Blain, Chelene Knight, Melanie Samuels and Jónina Kirton. Sessions include respectful work environment (employer’s obligations, HR best practices), unpacking diversity (cultural appropriation, indigenization, etc.), the front lines (role plays on how to deal with discrimination and harassment), and supporting change.
Creative BC Launches Magazine Publishers Travel Support Program
MagsBC and Magazines Canada member magazine publishers may apply for a 50% reimbursement of eligible costs to attend conferences between April 1/18 to March 31/19. These may include travel costs, design and printing of promotional materials, administration and overhead.
