New Year, New Participating Magazines

We’re starting 2026 off by welcoming a bunch of members to the Non-Traditional Newsstands Project!

In the coming weeks, more magazines will join the excellent selection available on free newsstands around the Lower Mainland. They are:

  • Preview: Guide to Galleries + Museums
  • Strathcona Collective – a Campbell River/Strathcona Region community magazines focusing on recreation, arts, culture, history, and the environment
  • The Verdict – the Trial Lawyers Association of BC’s quarterly journal
  • YAM: Victoria’s Lifestyle Magazine
  • Northword – a regional lifestyle magazine covering Northern BC, from Haida Gwaii to Lheidli T’enneh

 

Check out these stellar publications and more at our newsstands at Moodswing Coffee + Bar in New Westminster, Evergreen Cultural Centre in Coquitlam, the SFU Student Union Building in Burnaby, as well as the Museum of Vancouver and Studio 58 (Langara College) in Vancouver.

Also, our limited-edition pop-up shops at The Dance Centre at Scotiabank Dance Centre are happening soon. We’ll be selling magazines in The Dance Centre lobby before Global Dance Connections: Justine A. Chambers on February 5 and 6 at 8 p.m., and before Global Dance Connections: Ame Henderson + Matija Ferlin on March 13 and 14 at 7 p.m. Come check us out, and enjoy a captivating dance performance!

If you’ve heard about this project but haven’t signed on, now is your chance.

We’re looking for more magazines to join Non-Traditional Newsstands. Through us, you can establish a presence in new and unusual venues and get your magazine into more hands.
