Jessie Willms is a Toronto-based SEO editor at The Guardian US, and journalism instructor.

Previously, she was the SEO editor at The Globe and Mail, Canada’s national newspaper.

She has developed her visual, programming, and teaching skills at some of Canada’s top newsrooms, and now runs data-skills workshops for journalists, while teaching data and interactive journalism at Centennial College. Now an SEO and audience editor, she continues to focus on using a variety of storytelling skills to connect with readers on any platform they might find our content.

Willms is co-founder and writer of WTF is SEO?, a newsletter about search strategy for publishers.

Joyce Byrne is Alberta Magazine Publishers’ past President and an award-winning veteran of the Canadian magazine industry.
