Internship at Northword Magazine
Position: Part-time, 11 hours/week, flexible, August 1, 2026- February 21, 2027
Location: remote
Compensation: $25/hour
Note, the successful applicant will be familiar with our various online platforms, including our online magazines and social media channels.
What you’ll be doing
- As part of our team, you’ll be assisting in online content creation, putting your recent education and training to work.
- Working alongside Northword Magazine’s publisher, you’ll be advancing your skills and experience in print and on-line media production.
Your qualifications
- Student or recent graduate (within past 3 years) of a post-secondary media or interdisciplinary studies program in BC
- Strong copywriting skills
- BYO workstation (for remote work – personal computer, mobile phone & dedicated workspace)
- Familiarity working with content management systems is an asset
- Strong knowledge of social media platforms
- Outstanding writing and evidence of previous publishing
- Knowledge and lived experience of northern BC
