MagsBC shares information about conferences and training opportunities through our event blog posts here and under News. Although in the past, we have offered webinars and seminars, we now support AMPA’s Strategies for Canadian Magazines webinar series. MagsBC members can register at the AMPA member rate. Creative BC’s Magazine Publishers Market Fund offers financial support to MagsBC and Magazines Canada members to attend industry and magazine content-specific conferences and other events and assist with marketing initiatives.

Richer, Deeper, Better: Greater Inclusivity, Accountability and Respect in Publishing Workshops – UPDATE
In Vancouver and Victoria, May 23 and 24. Workshops feature Cicely Blain, Chelene Knight, Melanie Samuels and Jónina Kirton. Sessions include respectful work environment (employer's obligations, HR best practices), unpacking diversity (cultural appropriation, indigenization, etc.), the front lines (role plays on how to deal with discrimination and harassment), and supporting change.
